What? Another Probiotic? Yep - Optiflora DI

As you might have noticed, I fell off of the blogging track last winter.  Now that I'm settled in Chicago and Shaklee has announced new products, it's a great time to bring the latest to you once again.

Shaklee's Optiflora DI is a new product for the gut.  It's a clinically-proven 10 billion CFU blend for digestive and immune health.  It has 4 bacterial strains, including the powerful Bifidobacterium lactis HN019.  It is also gluten-free, soy free, dairy free and requires no refrigeration.  In addition, it survives the passage through the digestive tract to the large intestine.  This delivers maximum benefit to the gut.

Did you know that at least 70% of our immune system is in our gut?  Optiflora DI adds good bacteria and helps to restore the balance of intestinal microflora, supporting your immune health.  Optiflora DI also helps to maintain digestive health and regularity.  It also works on reducing occasional gas and bloating.

What about the original Optiflora products, the prebiotic and the probiotic?  Prebiotics are food for the probiotics, so it is still beneficial to the Optiflora DI.  It helps the good bacteria grow and multiply.  The probiotics are live bacteria that's good for you, especially your digestive system.  Probiotics are often called "good" bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy.

Can you take the original Optiflora probiotic with the DI?  Many people will be asking that because there is an Optiflora probiotic "pearl" in the Vitalizer strip.   The answer is "yes".  They're designed to work together to promote comprehensive digestive and immune support.

Wondering if you will have any adjustment issues in switching to the new Optiflora DI?  As with other probiotics, you may experience gas and bloating as your body adjusts.  Typically this is mild,
temporary and may suggest that the probiotics are working.
