Olympic Athletes To Keep An Eye On

Shaklee recently congratulated eight of its "Pure Performance Team" athletes who'll be participating in the Olympic Games in London.  One of them is Troy Dumais, 35-time national champion.  For the fourth time, 32-year-old Troy has qualified for the diving team, joining Greg Louganis as the only other American man to do so!  Troy will compete on Aug. 1 in the 3-meter synchronized event and on Aug. 6-7 in the 3-meter springboard.

Here are the other Shaklee-fueled athletes to watch:  Dennis Bowsher, Pentathlete;  Corey Cogdell, Trap Shooter;  Caryn Davies, Rower;  Margaux Isaksen, Pentathlete;  Seth Kelsey, Fencer;  Eleanor Logan, Rower;   Keith Sanderson, Rapid Fire Pistol Shooter.

Dennis Bowsher, 4-time Senior National Champion, World Cup medalist and soldier in the U.S. Army, will compete in his first Games.  He says, "Training for a pentathelon is grueling.  We run 60 miles a week, swim 12 miles a week, fence for a total of 7 hours a week, shoot for 7 1/2 hours a week and ride for 1 1/2 hours during the week."

Another Pentathlete is Margaux Isaksen, who competed in the Beijing Games in 2008 at just 16 years old.  Last year she was crowned Champion of Champions in Sicily and won gold at the Pan American Games in Mexico.  Both she and Dennis Bowsher will compete on Aug. 11-12.

Seth Kelsey, epee Fencer, is a Beijing Games competitor and Pan American Games gold medalist.  He will compete in his third Games this summer.  Seth's favorite Shaklee products are Shaklee Vitalizer, OmegaGuard and Vivix.  Seth says, "Every bout you have to fight - even in practice."  Even though in practice, "I'm  down 4-2, I'm going to fight to win."  Seth will compete on Aug. 1.
