Olympic Bobsledder Speaks!
Okay, not exactly bobsledding in the picture, but you get the idea....At the May Shaklee Regional Conference many interesting speakers stepped on the stage, but none more so than Jamie Greubel, who won an Olympic Bronze medal in Bobsledding. Her story of determination and focus was really inspiring.
Jamie is one of Shaklee's Pure Performance athletes. She used some of the Shaklee products in her regimen. She had to gain 20 pounds at one point - in a healthy way - to be heavy enough to sit in the rear of the sled. As she told us, a heavier person goes downhill faster and bobsledding is all about speed. Jamie also broke her leg, but told the doctor she had to be ready to continue training in four months, not the six he'd suggested, because the Olympics were coming up. Her dream was to bobsled and to medal in the Olympics and she made that dream come true.
So what are some of the Shaklee products that athletes love? Physique for rapid muscle recovery - endurance, strength and repair. It's a pure, natural fuel that revs up the body's processes. It is an intelligent-release protein blend with a unique protein-to-carb ratio. The Bio-Build in it is a unique blend of protein and carbohydrate sources, clinically proven to naturally activate and enhance the body's recovery process after exercise. I can vouch for this one from personal use. There are no artificial flavors, sweeteners or preservatives in Physique or in the two products you're going to read about below.
Another special sports drink is Performance, which hydrates better than water. Performance has more electrolytes and provides more energy than the leading hydration drink. Shaklee's proprietary OPTI-LYTE electrolyte blend plus our special carbohydrate mix delivers instant, sustained energy and supports optimal hydration. You can get it in either natural lemon/lime or natural orange. I used it for tennis at one time and now use it for golf or even taking a long walk.
The Energy Chews are great for a clean burst of energy when you need it. I might take one when I start playing golf and add a second on the back nine. They're also great for helping you stay alert on a long drive or perhaps when studying late in the evening. They're made of a scientific blend of caffeine from green tea plus L-tyrosine, L-theanine, B-vitamins and vitamin D to help you improve your performance, sustain your energy, sharpen your focus.
