Brain Tips from Martha Willmore
Canadian nutrition expert Martha Willmore spoke for 4 hours in the Chicago area in May. Let me just highlight some of the fascinating information she covered on brain health. This is a strong area of interest for me because my mother and father both had dementia late in life and my uncle had schizophrenia from his teen years on up.
"Someone is diagnosed every 67 seconds with Alzheimer's, " said Willmore. It is two times as likely as breast cancer for women. She also mentioned MIT-trained Dr. Laurel Fischer (PhD). Fischer is head of Shaklee's research on a new product called MindWorks. If you would like to hear a short talk by Fischer on "telomeres" and how they relate to mind health, she was on a recent Shaklee Hotline CD. Telomeres are the DNA segments found on the ends of chromosomes.
Shaklee's Dr. Daggy has said, "The brain can be rebuilt." Our brains continue to rebuild, remodel throughout our lives. This is called neuroplasticity.
"MindWorks contains key nutrients that have been shown
in 3 clinical studies and dozens of laboratory studies to immediately enhance mental sharpness, as well as support long-term health." It's "powered by exclusive chardonnay seed extract and carefully selected guarana." Blueberry Powder and Green Coffee Extract are also part of the blend along with Vitamin B6, B12, folate and calcium. What changes would you see? There's only one way to find out. After all, you have nothing to lose because MindWorks is guaranteed.
