Toxic Us?

Shaklee is an unusual company.  It was the first to be certified as Climate Neutral, which means being environmentally careful, but also cancelling out their impact on global warming with "offset projects" throughout the world.  One of these was providing solar-generated electricity to rural populations in Sri Lanka and  India.

Were there fewer toxins in the air and earth when you were a child?  Most of us would say, "Yes."

What is toxicity?  One definition is "the degree to which a substance can harm humans or animals."   Sixty years ago our exposure was small compared to what it has become with the proliferation of chemicals.

Today we might think of ourselves as living in a giant stewpot, swirling with poisons like heavy metals, exhaust fumes, dioxins, industrial solvents, volatile substances.  More and more chemicals appear.  No one can say how any one chemical will interact with combinations of the thousands of others.  I was exposed to a chemical used to kill carpenter ants about 20 years ago.  The company that used it said that it was perfectly safe for humans.  I believed it then, but not later.  Within a few years after the exposure, I developed mild asthma.

Toxicity can exhibit itself in different ways.  You could have severe headaches, exhaustion, bowel problems, balance issues, respiratory problems, skin irritation or many other symptoms.  What can you do?  You might consider some of the Shaklee products that tend to rid the body of toxins:  Herb-Lax, Liver DTX, Optiflora Prebiotics and Probiotics, Garlic Complex, Alfalfa Complex.  I'd be glad to give you informatoin.
